The only reason I am giving these a 4 star and not 5 is because they don't fit perfectly into every rim on the planet, otherwise they are superior to rim tape in all aspects. If you have ever had a slightly larger diameter than normal rim and a tight fitting tire you need these, they are worth every cent, here's why: Rim tape can get pushed aside and expose the tube to a needless flat, even at lower Mountain bike pressures. Less weight than tape, yes, minor, but plug detractors would point out if they were heavier, so... More cost effective as a long term investment, these plugs will outlast me and my bikes, I could pass them on in my will.
