Extreme 294 model features a whopping 294 steel studs with carbide tips, a heavy-duty casing and a Silca-rubber compound specially designed for maximum traction in cold tempatures. 29 x 2.1" size for Mountain bikes. 1,100 grams each. Great for winter commuting or riding on snow & ice covered trails. Price is per tire - order 2 if you want a pair. If you use just 1 tire put it on the front - you're less likely to ended up eating the ground! (trust me on this) MADE IN FINLAND! - where they know snow!

Note - Nokian recommends riding approximately 30 miles on road to "Break In" these tires. Avoid rapid accelaration and braking during this time. This is to ensure the tires and studs are optimized for longlife.
